Gorgeous weather, with the leaves beginning their transition to fall, set the stage for the 2025 BMW CCA New Mexico Chapter Karl Fox Memorial Fall Tour to Mora and Las Vegas, New Mexico on September 20-21, 2025.

Seventeen people in nine BMWs kicked off the weekend with breakfast at the historic Rancho de Chimayó on Saturday.

After breakfast, we journeyed to the historic Cleveland Roller Mill Museum. The Cleveland Roller Mill is a three‑story adobe, water‑powered flour mill. It is located in the Mora Valley, which was once a hub of wheat farming and flour milling—during its peak in the late 1800s, it was nicknamed the “breadbasket of the southwest.” The mill is exceptionally well-preserved, with all of the original machinery still in place. Our thanks go to Roquin, who has been giving tours of the mill for 17 years, for sharing her wonderful knowledge of the mill’s history with our group.

Teresa’s Tamales provided a delicious picnic lunch that we enjoyed on the grounds outside the mill after our tour. From there, we traveled on to Las Vegas, where members got to explore the historic plaza district before dinner at the Plaza Hotel, which also provided our accommodations for the night.

On Sunday, we followed a scenic winding road to Villanueva State Park, where some folks took a stroll along the river, while others hiked to the top of mesa. An excellent green chile cheeseburger lunch at La Cocina Lucero in Villanueva then closed out our weekend together.

Thank you to all who joined and helped make this year’s Karl Fox Tour one for the books!
