The BMW CCA New Mexico Chapter gathered at the Nambe Falls Travel Center on US 84 near Pojoaque, NM on July 12, 2025 for the Cardinal Point Drive to Los Alamos. With 16 club members in 11 cars, the drive headed out of town to Los Alamos.
Crossing the Rio Grande at the Otowi Bridge was the low point of the drive (elevation 5488 ft.) followed by the scenic climb up to Los Alamos on the Pajarito Plateau (elevation 7355 ft.).
The first stop was at the Los Alamos Auto Club Cars and Coffee meeting. After an hour of talking cars with fellow enthusiasts, the group toured the Los Alamos History Museum and the buildings on the surrounding campus.
Lunch was down the street at the Pajarito Brewpub and Grill.
With the threat of a brewing thunderstorm, the drive ended after lunch.
