Cardinal Point Drive West to the Land of Fire and Ice

Join the BMW Car Club of America New Mexico Chapter on Saturday, July 15, 2023, for a drive to the Ice Cave and Bandera Volcano on NM 53, southwest of Grants, NM. We will meet at the Maverik Adventure Stop, 9701 Bluewater Rd in NW Albuquerque (I-40 and 98th Street, exit 153) at 8:30 am for a 9:00 am departure. After our visit to the volcano and ice cave, we will have lunch at the veteran owned Junkyard on 66 Brewery in Grants. It’s a functioning junkyard and features antique vehicles; auto parts as décor; a truck converted to a bar; a lift; tailgates and hoods for tables; and, the best part, in house beers with automotive themed names. After lunch, there will be an optional trip to the nearby New Mexico Mining Museum.
