11th Annual Convertible Cars Cruise to the Crest
The 11th Annual Convertible Cars Cruise to the Crest will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. They will meet once again at Smith’s on Tramway and Central and leave from there at 10:05 a.m. to drive up Old Route 66 to North 14, then cruise up the winding road to Sandia Crest. All makes and models of convertible cars, Jeeps, etc. are welcome! This is National Public Lands Day which means free parking at Sandia Crest.
Note from Mike: The road to the very top of the Crest is closed for repairs, so we will cruise up the Sandia Crest road to the 10K Trailhead parking lot, which is somewhat near the top, turn around and cruise back down to NM 14 and park at the Trail Rider Pizza restaurant. It is just past the Triangle Grocery on the right (west side of NM 14). In addition to pizza, they have sandwiches and salads.
