Rulis is a talented El Paso chef who has appeared on Diners\, Drive-ins and Dives. Come enjoy fellowship\, car talk and good food. \nThe Borderland Region gatherings on the first Sunday of the month help build the community for BMW owners in West Texas\, Southern New Mexico\, and Northern Chihuahua in addition to the regular chapter events. \nIf you have suggestions for events in Southern New Mexico or the El Paso area\, contact borderland@nmbmwcca.org.

SUMMARY:Cardinal Point Drive West to the Land of Fire and Ice
DESCRIPTION:Join the BMW Car Club of America New Mexico Chapter on Saturday\, July 15\, 2023\, for a drive to the Ice Cave and Bandera Volcano on NM 53\, southwest of Grants\, NM. We will meet at the Maverik Adventure Stop\, 9701 Bluewater Rd in NW Albuquerque (I-40 and 98th Street\, exit 153) at 8:30 am for a 9:00 am departure. After our visit to the volcano and ice cave\, we will have lunch at the veteran owned Junkyard on 66 Brewery in Grants. It’s a functioning junkyard and features antique vehicles; auto parts as décor; a truck converted to a bar; a lift; tailgates and hoods for tables; and\, the best part\, in house beers with automotive themed names. After lunch\, there will be an optional trip to the nearby New Mexico Mining Museum.
